Socio Political Group Congratulates Governor Sanwo-Olu on Second Term Endorsement

A Socio Political group Grassroots Vanguard (GV) has congratulated and commended Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State on his recent endorsement for a second term in office by the Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC) of the All Progressive Congress (APC).

The group commended the GAC for aligning with the wishes and aspirations of Lagosians who have been commending the Sanwo-Olu administration for it’s positive impacts in governance and have been vociferous in the clamour for a second term for the tireless, hardworking servant and Governor of the people of Lagos State.

According to a press statement from the group’s secretary Uche Nnadozie, and issued in Lagos, today, Thursday 21st April 2022, it stated that, “The endorsement of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for a second term in office by the GAC is a testimonial to a sterling performance in his first term which is just about 3 years old”.

The group said it notes with pride how Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s administration has touched on every sector of governance in his first term and has turned the whole of Lagos into a huge construction site with roads infrastructure construction, upgrade and repairs in all the 57 local government and local council development areas of the state.
According to Comrade Nnadozie, a notable distinguishing feature of the Babajide Sanwo-Olu administration is his focus on people oriented projects which has seen him initiate new laudable projects and complete those started by his predecessors even in the midst of the economic financial squeeze occasioned by the covid-19 pandemic and the fall in global price of crude oil.

The group particularly commended Governor Sanwo-Olu for providing quality leadership in Lagos State and Nigeria as the incident commander at the peak of the covid-19 pandemic which contributed in no small measure in mitigating it’s spread and effect on the good people of Lagos and made him shine like a million stars as an outstanding leader who became a reference point in the management of people and crisis.

In the press statement, the Grassroots Vanguard (GV) commended Governor Sanwo-Olu for the giants strides recorded so far which is being directed by his administration THEMES agenda in which his impact has been felt in the transportation sector through the purchase of mass transit and last mile buses, the reconstruction of roads, purchase of ferries and reconstruction of jetties for water transportation,  construction of primary health centres, maternal and child Care centres and renovation of general hospitals among others in the health sector, construction of modern blocks of classrooms with furniture, laboratories and toilet facilities across the six education districts, to mention but a few of the Sanwo-Olu administration achievements which cut across several sectors.

The group commended Governor Sanwo-Olu for remaining focused and undistracted by the violence, criminality and arson attacks on public and private assets by the EndSARS protests to continue to deliver on the dividend of democracy to the good people of Lagos State and wished him all the best in the service to the people as it looks forward to another four years of the Sanwo-Olu administration come 2023.

Grassroots Vanguard (GV), in the release, “admonished members of the All Progressive Congress (APC) to stay on the right side of history by ensuring that Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu is returned as the party’s flag bearer at it’s primary to contest and win the 2023 gubernatorial election in Lagos State so that he can continue his good works for another four years to the glory of God and benefit of humanity.

    God bless Lagos State,

    Thank you.
    Uche Nnadozie,General Secretary.
