TRIBUTE TO LAGOS TRAFFIC RADIO AND ITS GM;TAYO AKANLE

May I single out my congratulatory salutations to the active Management and Staff of the Lagos Traffic Radio FM on the 10thYear Anniversary of your Station under the General Manager (GM); Mr.Tayo Akanle.

Frankly speaking, for those familiar with my characteristic attributes,I am not a person in tune with praise-singing any one at all levels of government in Nigeria until I see convincing performances over the years with relentless consistency. That’s what underlined my conscientious restriction to keenly watch for a whole lot of 10years before commending the Lagos Traffic Radio now.

Coming from that principled background note, I must first input the vital narrative that when the Lagos Traffic Radio was established 10 years ago (in 2012), many of us were sceptical because we suspected its seemingly going to be another governmental parastatal or agency for “mere inconsequential jobs for the guys and girls with some duplicitous- overlapping duties of similar agencies devoid of cogent positive results on the teeming masses of Lagos.”

Alas! That narrative suspicion has, perhaps, been disabled by just the one and only full-fledged, functional, responsive and effective broadcast and dissemination of accurate real-time traffic informations, not only about roads, but also on maritime- waterways and air travels, that have eminently helped us in navigating our hectic terrains not only in Lagos but also in parts of neighbouring Ogun State and elsewhere.

Those highlighted encomiums are well-acquinted to the practical awareness of well-meaning patriotic Lagosians who have, and are still, enjoying the result-oriented impacts of the Lagos Traffic Radio for some years counting under the “less-talk but high-capacity-result style” of the GM Tayo Akanle.

Oh! Tayo; my ex-University colleague at the OAU and at the Youth Service Year in Gashua,Yobe State,30 years ago, keep the Great Ife legacy of actionable hard-works with impactful results on humanity and the environment with thumb-up for you!!!👍👍👍

So say the tribute according to:
