INEC extends PVC Collection By One Week
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has extended the collection of the permanent Voters Card (PVC) across all the local government council areas of Nigeria ahead of the 2023 general elections by one more week.
Rising from a meeting convoked by the commission on the 28th January 2023, INEC commended Nigerians for turning up in large numbers to collect their PVC and that for the purpose of engendering greater participation of Nigerians in the 2023 general elections and because of unfolding developments which it is monitoring, she has decided to extend the date for the collection of PVC by a week.
Recall that the collection of PVC was originally scheduled to end on Sunday 29th January 2023, but with this extension, the deadline for collection of PVC is now 5th February 2023.
